Small groups
perform large works ...
The Seven Last Words is one of Haydn’s most beautiful and most intense works. Although originally scored for full orchestra, Haydn arranged it for string quartet as well — perfect for the intimacy of MCO’s Chamber Night. Pianist Alexander Tselyakov will join MCO's fine players, including violinists Karl Stobbe and Simon MacDonald, violist Daniel Scholz and cellist Yuri Hooker, to perform these two major chamber works.
