Roy Goodman crosses the pond
for a Holiday treat!
The MCO goes to the baroque and early music expert: this concert was programmed by our former Music Director, and now guest conductor, Roy Goodman.
Start the holiday season with soprano Tracy Dahl and the MCO strings. Hear how sublimely the essence of Finzi and Bridge’s country dance blend with three baroque Christmas masterpieces.
Winnipeg’s Tracy Dahl
Tracy Dahl is a coloratura soprano, a type of operatic soprano who specializes in music that is distinguished by agile runs and leaps. The term ‘coloratura’ refers to the elaborate ornamentation of a melody, which is a typical component of the music written for this voice (source: Wikipedia).
