Each season, thousands of students of all ages experience live chamber music through school visits and special concerts in our classroom — Westminster Church!
MCO brings top musicians from around the world to Winnipeg. Call us if you are interested in a workshop with a guest artist or MCO musicians. Fees will vary.

Afternoon schools concert
Book early for this incredible opportunity for your students to hear percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie in a solo performance! 1:00 pm, 4 March 2008, Westminster Church Tickets $5 (plus GST) per person in school groups. Update: sorry, this event is sold out!
Playground Suite
Concerts on May 29th will feature the premiere performances of Playground Suite, a student composition project led by Marcelline Moody; students from Samuel Burland School, École Dieppe & Lincoln Middle School will participate.
Free schools concert: / 1:00 pm, 29 May 2008, Westminster Church; free admission.
Public concert / 7:30 pm, 29 May 2008, Westminster Church; tickets $5 students (plus GST), $10 adults (plus GST).

Frontier School Division Program
We enthusiastically support the wonderful work being done in the Frontier School Division fiddling program! Our one-hour school presentations continue to explore the cultural significance of music through a collaboration of project developer Boyd MacKenzie with aboriginal flute player Ashok Salwan and five string players.
MCO Pizza Club
Students, parents & teachers arrive at 6 pm for delicious pizza and information on the music they’re about to hear at the concert. Musical ideas are presented in ways to which your children and students will respond!

Pre-concert events
October 23 / a Suzuki orchestra recital and a discussion of Shostakovich’s 14th symphony by Alain Trudel, 6:45 pm.
December 4 / a recital by this year’s MCO Young Player Award winner, 6:45 pm.
January 15 / a performance by a small ensemble from the UM School of Music, including students of Allen Harrington, 6:45 pm.
February 19 / a dance presentation by Manohar Performing Arts of Canada, 6:45 pm.
March 5 / a performance by the Dalhousie School Percussion Ensemble, 6:45 pm.
May 28 / a special sneak preview of Playground Suite.
Note: special pre-concert programs may be designed for
large groups with advance notice.
